Whether you are buying or selling a home in Charlotte or the surrounding areas, you’re bound to have questions: Is my home ready to be put on the market? The cost of a home inspection varies and is determined by the age of the property and square footage.
North Carolina and South Carolina both require licensing for home inspectors. Both states have a list of minimum Standards of Practice (SOPs), which includes inspecting the structure, exterior, roofing, plumbing, heating & air conditioning, electrical, interior, insulation/ventilation & built-in kitchen appliances. All our inspectors are licensed professionals with years of training and on-site experience.
In addition, the cost of our inspection includes the following benefits:
- Free concierge services
- Discounted handyman services
- List of qualified local contractors
- Discounted sanitization services
We offer a wide range of home and commercial inspection services:
- General home inspections
- Pre-listing inspections
- New Construction
- Certified FFA Drone Roof Inspection
- Reinspections
- Termite and pest inspections
- Radon testing (with monitors only)
- Mold testing
- Infrared thermal imaging inspections
- Well/Water quality testing
- Pool/Spa inspections

WDIR is the acronym for North Carolina’s “Wood Destroying Insect Report”. All our inspectors are licensed by the NC Department of Agriculture to perform a wood destroying insect inspection and to provide this report.
When shopping around for your home inspection, there are a few questions that are important to ask in addition to the price. Be wary of inspectors who are much cheaper than others. You get what you pay for when it comes to home inspections!
Since buying a home is the largest investment you will make in your lifetime, you want a qualified, experienced inspector to guide you through the process – not a brand-new guy willing to offer cheap inspections to gain more business.
Americas Choice carries Errors and Omissions (E&O) and General Liability insurance. Errors and Omissions insurance protects you in the unlikely event we do not report a major defect in your home. General Liability protects you in the event we accidentally damage something in the home.
